Determining implied needs in the context of use




What is this activity about?   This is a methodical way to uncover those needs, which are often hidden or implied in circumstances in which requirements engineers must sharpen their understanding of the customer's preferred behavior.
How does it work?   A heuristic approach enables the requirements engineer to select abstractions, the validity of which can be checked in collaboration with the customers. It is this validation process that helps uncover true customer needs.
What is the result?   Implied needs are disclosed. They serve the specification of customer or end user requirements.
