Identification of critical incident scenarios

What is this activity about?   This is a tool to describe discrepancies between the intentions of a customer or user to do something and the intentions of a designer to support a customer's activity in a specified way. The applied Task Intention Code (TIC) provides a notation for the description of obstacles of initial product use as well as barriers originating from design mistakes.

How does it work?   Critical cases that happened with the usage of a product or service are described and analyzed regarding the underlying intentions.

What is the result?   An objective description of what has caused a usability problem. This can be used to improve products or services.
